A sleek new twin-engined aircraft makes its appearance, featuring pusher type propellers and a needle nose. The five seater is reported to attain speeds greater than the ordinary executive type plane and can operate at comparable low speeds like a helicopter. It is named the CCW-5 because it is produced by the Custer Channel Wing Corporation.
The Custer CCW-5 was a twin engined, 5 seat aircraft of pusher configuration, which used a channel wing claimed to enable low speed flight and very short take offs. Two CCW-5s flew, eleven years apart, but the type never entered production.
The aircraft was the third and last of a series of Custer Channel Wing designs. (Wikipedia) Photo measures 9 x 7 in.
