This is an original press photo. That buzzling sound in the Homestead Plaza Shopping Center at night comes from the tiny engines of model airplanes. Airman Second Class Lee Hunt, Gary Hudson and Lester Hiott and several of their buddies from the 319th Fighter Squadron at Homestead Air Force Base found it more pleasant to pursue their hobby in the cool of the evening. "We get together and fly when we gt a chance, but it's been too hot in the daytime," Hudson said. Hudson and Hiott are F-104 crewchiefs and Hunt is a jet engine mechanic. Photo measures 9 x 8.25 inches. Photo is dated 8-17-1966.
