This is an original press photo. Cyclist: Tore Naerland and his "pilot" - Tore Naerland is a 6,000-mile example that blind persons can enjoy outdoor recreation, even bicycling. And Naerland does brag, if that's the right word. He's a proud young man who views his blindness as an inconvenience, nothing more. Dressed in blue gym shorts and a "Norwegian Sardine Power" T-shirt, Naerland has an athletic appearance and a boyish playful personality. "I have to use my hands to tell how pretty you are," he jokes, adding that, yes, he relies very much on his sense of touch. Photo measures 6.75 x 10inches. Photo is dated 6-4-1978.
