This is an original press photo. Santiago Angura ship's Chilean mechanic. Stranded crew's pay battle ends in hollow victory. "I want to forget everything that has happened to me in the last few months" he said. "I have gone through every privation, including hunger, which I had never experienced before in my life." Vilciez is an electrician aboard the Gilini, a rusting, ill fated freighter that has been stranded in the Mississippi River across from the Chalmette Battlefield since September.
