This is an original press photo. An organization which spread Milwaukee's fame throughout the land in the early part of the century was the Rose Marching club, a democratic organization led by Mayor David S. Rose (indicated by arrow). They are shown above lined up preparatory to leaving for New Orleans on February 1, 1909. They also attended the national democratic convention in Denver. Mayor Rose defeated by socialists. Milwaukee Photo measures 9.5 x 7 inches. Photo is dated 02-01-1909.
