This is an original press photo. The Curtiss Tanager which qualified in the Guggenheim Safety Teast, for the $10,000 reward for the best fool-proof plane. It successfully fulfilled the 19 minimum safety requirements in the tests on Mitchell Field, New York City. Among the features of the plane are: floating ailerons, automatic slots and controllable flaps and ailerons which give perfect control in all positions of flight. Photo measures 10 x 8inches. Photo is dated 12-31-1929.
