Juanita Hansen, screen star of the silent era and a narcotic user for years, has established a "Juanita Hansen Home for Addiction Illness" in Oakland, California, where she intends to offer to narcotic sufferers the cure which she says aided her on two different occasions when she was an addict. Miss Hansen, shown at her desk in the sanitarium, hopes eventually to circle the globe with her home, the second of which is planned for Southern California. The cure, as described by the former film star, takes but 48 hours, but addicts are forced to stay in the sanitarium for two weeks following the cure for observation and treatment.Photo measures 9 x 7.25inches. Photo is dated 07-13-1934.
