This is an original press photo. Charles L. Foley (R), 24, an Irish airplane pilot, shown going over plans of his proposed sub-stratosphere flight to Dublin from NY, with Major C.J. Kennedy, former designer for the British air minister. Foley set May 27 for the start of his transatlantic hop which, he expects, will take less than 12 hours. Foley plan to fly at an altitude of 5 miles. Photo measures 6.5 x 8.75inches. Photo is dated 4-25-1935.
