This is an original press photo. Landing in New Orleans this morning Douglas Corrigan, the "wrong way" Atlantic pilot who set the world laughing by flying to Ireland last summer in a $900 crate and coming down in Dublin to say he "thought it was California all the time," started from the Union Depot where he stepped off the train from Houston, Texas, to reach a Canal street department store, was recognized only by a New Orleans States reporter, and landed in the New Orleans States newsroom. He did his shaving in the newspaper's washroom and is shown as he entered The Times-Picayune New Orleans State building, carrying all his baggage with him. He had gone the wrong way again.Photo measures 4.5 x 9inches. Photo is dated 01-17-1939.
