This is an original press photo. Glimpsed from beneath an advanced trainer ship in the Southeast Air/Corps Training Center, Flying Cadet Bernard S.Sayre, tallest man in the Class 41-F, Maxwell Field Ala. looks condescendingly down at Cadet Robert Long, the shortest. It's all in fun, for though Sayre, of Montclair, is six feet two, maximum height, and Long of Park River, North Dakota, five feet four, the minimum, they're both the same height in airplane. Long proved this by soloing in six and a half hours when the usual time is eight, end by knocking down a 95 average in Basic School. Though he had sit on three cushions do it'.
Photo measures 7.5 x 10 inches. Photo is dated 08-07-1941.
