This is an original press photo. Another British convoy has reached port safely after an exciting journey which culminated in an attack by a Messerschmitt as the final stage up the east coast was reached these remarkable pictures, among which is one of bombs actually leaving the German raider, were made by cameraman HP Andrews who was traveling aboard one of the merchant ships - the one actually attacked when a Messerschmitt 110 released bombs from the low level of 120 feet but failed to make a direct hit. An escorting destroyer pumped hundreds of bullets into the raider.Photo measures 7 x 9.25inches. Photo is dated 03-23-1941.
