This is an original press photo. In 1936 Ben Lyon and his wife, Bebe Daniels, transferred their theatrical activities to England, and were pretty well forgotten in United States. Their most popular project since their arrival there was the radio show. "Hi Gang!" which started in 1939 and ran every week until last June. Then they started a show called "Bebe Vic and Ben," which has just ended a successful 39 weeks, Meanwhile for the last 36 weeks they have been doing a show called "Stars and Stripes in Britain" featuring American service men, which is shortsaved to the United States every Sunday night. Ben, who obtained a pilot's license in 1933, was in the Air Corps reserve but his commission lapsed after he moved to England. Last fall he applied for reinstatement, and was sworn in December 15. He's now a major in the U.S. Air Force, assigned to the Eight Air Force's public relations office handling radio. He's itching for his first chance to get back into a plane.
