This is an original press photo. Here is a light plane coming in for a landing. It is headed into the wind, directly over the runway, flying level and has lost most of its flying speed. The student pilot's job is to keep the wings level, keep it headed correctly and be ready to set it down on the "three points," both wheels and tail skid, when all flying speed is gone. This means getting the feel of the snip to know just when to pull back on the stick, also knowing how to use the rudder and ailerons. until the feel becomes natural a student may bourice or may fail to keep it on the runway properly. He may even do a ground loop and damage the plane.Photo measures 10 x 5inches. Photo is dated 08-26-1946.
