This is an original press photo. In the light of day, the BT-13 being examined by Harland Webster looks like a perfectly reasonable airplane. But at night with its running lights and landing lights on. It was mistaken for a flying saucer of the cigar butt type, as illustrated. If you saw two lights whooshing over your head in the middle of the night, would you know immediately that it was only a pilot testing the lights and practicing night landings? Photo measures 11 x 8.25inches. Photo is dated 03-1-1953.
