This is an original press photo. Cedars of Lebanon: The remnants of the once prolific cedars of Lebanon are found near the village of Becharre, 84 miles Northeast of Beirut, in the Lebanon Mountains. Only a small grove remains of the great forest of cedars from which King Solomon took the timber to build the Temple in Jerusalem. Nearby are the best ski slopes in Lebanon, the beautiful grotto of Kadisha dan the Museum of Jebran Kalil Jebran, renowned Lebanese author. Photo measures 10 x 8.25inches. Photo is dated 05-14-1962.
