Patrick Hemingway, 34, son of the late writer and big game hunter, Ernest Hemingway, is shown at controls of small plans he is learning to pilot while taking a course in scientific game management at the University of California. Flying will enable him to count hers and estimate land capacity in remote areas. Seated beyond him is pilot Dick Hill. Hemingway, just returned from ten years in East Africa where he was a safari outfitter, expects to get his master's degree in zoology in a couple of years.Photo measures 8.5 x 5.5inches.
