This is an original press photo. The man in the middle is mad. That's Baltimore manager Hank Bauer, a former Marine who was fighting for his team, not his country. He was finally ejected for protesting rather strongly when pitcher Steve Barber was warned and fined $50 for hitting tony Oliva of Minnesota on the protective helmet. Oriole catcher John Orsino (l) tried to restrain Bauer as he "discussed" the matter with umpires Hank Soar and Al Salerno. Baltimore managed to beat the Twins in the ninth inning on two homers, 6-5.Photo measures 8.5 x 8.25inches. Photo is dated 05-23-1964.
