This is an original press photo. The research submarine Sea Link II will give scientists their first look at the bottom of Lake Superior during a month of dives. Six Milwaukee scientists will be among the first humans ever to view the deep floor of Lake Superior when a four-man submarine begins a monthlong series of dives Tuesday. Two of the scientists will be aboard the 23-foot-long Sea Link II a week later when it dives into Lake Superior's deepest known hole. 1,333 feet deep, a trench that lies about 20 miles north of Munising, Upper Michigan. At the depth, said Charles C.
