This is an original press photo. In the latest effort to battle the effect of the rising waters of Lake Michigan, the county parks department has erected concrete barriers along Lincoln Memorial Drive. The experimental barriers are being put up to try to stem the tide of rocks and debris being washed up during storms that have forced the periodic closing of the road. The barriers are being tried on a stretch of road between the North Point concession area and McKinley Marina.Photo measures 10 x 6.5inches. Photo is dated 12-06-1986.
