Let if flow - Teenage participants in the Youth Conservation Camp pulled a telephone pole out of Lincoln Creek at Havenwoods Environmental Awareness Center Monday to help improve water flow and prevent flooding upstream. The work at the center, north of Silver Spring Drive and west of Sherman Boulevard, was done at the request of the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District as part of a flood control project on Lincoln Creek. More than 800 youths participate each year in the Youth Conservation Camp program, working on projects in forestry, wildlife management and recreation.Photo measures 10 x 8inches.
